Do you love to create gadgets and DIY kits? Do you love free food and awesome music? Presented by the Digital Media Students’ Association (DMSA), Maker Day will be held on Wednesday November 30th, 2016 in the Digital Media Transmedia Lab (ACW 103), and is open to all students. It is an all-day, drop-in event that runs from 2:30pm to 8:30pm.
Students will spend the day learning how to create various mini projects consisting of small to large scaled robots, with the use of electronic kits and supervised soldering. Students will be provided a certain level of difficulty to choose from, ranging from beginner level to intermediate and advanced. This is to ensure all inexperienced and experienced students can enjoy the event. Students can enjoy free food, drinks, and raffle tickets with great prizes. Lastly, students are able to take home anything they have made during the event.
The Digital Media Students’ Association is always looking for members! For those that are interested in running more events such as Maker Day and their weekly Coffee House, be sure to attend a meeting and bring your friends!
